Oliver gains professional recognition in Furniture Craftmanship
Back in March, we were honoured to be invited to The Mansion House in London to attend the Master Certificate Presentations.
The Master Certificate Scheme is a prestigious partnership between City & Guilds and participating Livery Companies, coordinated by the Construction Liveries Group. It exists to celebrate excellence, support career progression, and formally recognise the highest levels of professional skill and experience.
We are proud to announce that our Workshop Manager, Oliver, was awarded his Journeyman Master’s Certificate—following on from his Apprentice Master’s Certificate, which he achieved in 2020. The award was presented by the Lady Mayor of London, alongside the Master of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.
Below is Oliver’s citation, taken from the Award Ceremonies Programme:
Oliver Fuller left school in 2017 and quickly distinguished himself by achieving a Distinction in Level 2 Furniture Making at DIDAC College. He went on to achieve further Distinctions in Level 3 Furniture Making, Furniture Design, and Advanced Process and Manufacturing. During his Level 3 studies, he was also awarded the prestigious Apprentice Master’s Certificate.
Since completing his apprenticeship, Oliver has progressed through the family business—one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of church furniture. Now working as Workshop Manager, he works alongside his father, who founded the company over four decades ago. Oliver leads the company’s design work, producing creative and finely crafted furniture for churches and places of worship across the UK and internationally.
Fullers Finer Furniture would like to congratulate Oliver on this fantastic achievement, and we wish him all the very best in his future career.
